I deployed to Azure using the 1.1.30 package here: http://orchard.codeplex.com/releases/view/59918

Everything works properly except when I click on Module, Themes, or Feeds in the Dashboard.

Compiler Error Message: CS0433: The type 'Orchard.Packaging.ViewModels.PackagingExtensionsViewModel' exists in both 'd:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\809d7cfc\c8de04b0\assembly\dl3\a46fe6cb\009861f2_f6b3cb01\Orchard.Packaging.DLL' and 'd:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\809d7cfc\c8de04b0\App_Web_bgkzj2fe.dll'

It appears the assembly already exists on the instance.  Is there a way to fix this without rebuilding Orchard myself?

No idea actually. What was the state of your hosting before pushing this package ?

Brand new hosted service and instance on Azure.

I have the same problem, but with an other package from the gallery: CS0433: The type 'CyberStride.Contacts.ViewModels.ContactRequestListViewModel' exists in both 'd:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\51d07ae0\97a69c2e\App_Web_1wxroovr.dll' and 'd:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\51d07ae0\97a69c2e\assembly\dl3\c5123603\00460d3c_1c04cc01\CyberStride.Contacts.DLL'

Anyone solved the problem yet? :(

Can you send me your package ? I'd like to see if it's correctly built.

Also, can you try calling Clean on the Visual Studio solution, then removing any /bin or /obj, then rebuild the package. I'd like to see if building in VS might have side effects on the package creation.

Did you try running directly from Visual Studio as it is a supported scenario as for Orchard 1.1 ?

Thank you. I upload my package for you and send you the link. I hope you'll find the error :-)

If i have time, i will try your suggestion.

My package is build from the cmdline tool in the source enlistment.

Hi, your idea, to rebuild the solution in visual studio, failed. Have you or someone else another idea? :(

I have downloaded the prebuild Azure package from codeplex (http://orchard.codeplex.com/releases/65184/download/249659) and am getting the same error when I want to review modules :

Compiler Error Message: CS0433: The type 'Orchard.Packaging.ViewModels.PackagingExtensionsViewModel' exists in both 'd:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\809d7cfc\c8de04b0\App_Web_nt2xef30.dll' and 'd:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\809d7cfc\c8de04b0\assembly\dl3\a46fe6cb\009861f2_f6b3cb01\Orchard.Packaging.DLL'

Hi - I"m running into the same issue whether I compile using ClickToBuildAzurePackage.cmd in VS command terminal or when I deploy the prebuilt Azure package from the following link:

http://orchard.codeplex.com/releases/view/50197

Have you been able to resolve the issue?

Thanks,
Rafi

Yes, it has something to do with missing assemblies and if you deliver all assemblies before running Orchard on Azure, you should be fine. I can't rememeber exactly what I did because I stopped with Orchard when I discovered wordpress. It works right out of the box and is free.

Regards, Stephan

"It works right out of the box and is free." -- and Orchard doesn't and isn't??

Orchard on Azure doesn't work right out of the box(that's the reason for this discussion) and did cost me a lot of time. It took me just a couple of minutes to get started using Wordpress.

I'm a little confused by that as I've set-up Orchard on Azure in about ten seconds, several times. Can you please explain exactly what you did and what went wrong?

All I see on this thread is references to very old builds of Orchard and possibly incompatible third-party modules. If you have problems with recent Azure packages, it should be reported as a bug.
