MenuItem Description

Hi, new to Orchard Here and I'm wondering how I'd go about something.  I'm trying to make it so that a menu item has a description.  For my case, I'm using this as sort of a subtitle, but it could also be used as a title tag or whatever.  I'm wondering if you need to write/use a custom module to gain this functionality, or if you can tweak it to allow this out  of the box.  I tried adding a custom text field to the MenuItem content type, however this field does show up as editable in any of the admin views.

I'd also be fine with adding a custom field on my Page ContentType, as these all link to pages, however I have no idea how to retrieve the Page model from the MenuItem model in MenuItem.cshtml.

Any help would be a appreciated, I'm still trying to wrap my head around Orchard best practices.

I don't think this is easy to do without overtaking the whole navigation admin UI.

Piotr, who built the Hierarchical Menu module, might take that as an interesting suggestion for his next version.
