Module/Folder name guidelines

I am building a module for Orchard, and would like to publish it in Gallery. But I am not sure, what are the rules for naming a module and its folder. I noticed that some modules use just a single word for both module name and folder. Others use two-part notation separated by a dot -- <Keyword>.<ModuleName> . And <Keyword> can be either an area (like in Bing.Maps), or author's company or name abbreviation (like in Heikura.SyntaxHighligher).

Can someone give recommendations on best practice here?

One more question is about module category -- should module always have just one category? Or is it possible to specify more than one? E.g. a media gallery module seems to fit in both Content and Media categories.

You got that right.

When adding your module to the gallery, you'll have to choose one main category but you can also tag it with as many keywords as you like.
