Content Type Entry in Multiple Lists/Containers

So with the out of the box experience, a content type which contains the common and containable parts can never belong to multiple lists concurrently? There has to be something I'm missing because with modern CMS design in mind, I find it difficult to believe that the native implementation would prevent an entry from belonging in multiple locations considering all of the other fore-thoughts that I do see implemented.

That is the feature we implemented. It's simple and it works if that's what you're trying to do.

You should have a look at taxonomy as it's introducing a much richer angle to that sort of problem. http://orchardproject.net/gallery/Packages/Modules/Details/Taxonomies-0-8-0

Or build your own.

So I'm not missing anything after all and it is designed to only exist within one container? I'll play with it some more then. Thanks for the response!
