So I spent 30 mins wondering what was going on when orchard.exe from the command prompt was saying it could not access a log file and kept throwing an sql ce excepion.

Its because I didn't run the command prompt elevated as administrator.

This article here: http://www.orchardproject.net/docs/Using-the-command-line-interface.ashx

Should be updated to explicitly say the command prompt should be run as administrator.

I added this here so people will hopefully find it and save their 30 mins!

From your other post (http://orchard.codeplex.com/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=242267), it looks like you are running orchard.exe from an Orchard site installed in the default IIS web directory (C:\inetpub\wwwroot), which is locked down by default and requires more privileges to access the file system. This is why you had to run orchard.exe as admin. When installed in a "regular" directory, orchard.exe can be run as normal user.

oh lol! I see, didn't think of that! Anyway, I still think it could be a little bit of a snag for others (and Also I'm quite daft at sys-admin-ish stuff like permissions!)
