Inherited Pageflow layout?

Dec 22, 2010 at 10:25 AM

I did read the topic Switching the layout in Orchard and my guess is that i can suggest my team to do something simular to create a pageflow layout.
That layout then can then be used as a shape? Something i didn't learn as well... new stuff :)

| - menu navigation              |
|  - steps                               |
| -------------------------------|
|  - content             | right-    |
|                             | content |
|                             |             |
|                             |             |
|                             |             |
| -------------------------------|
|  - pageflow navigation         |

This layout only has to be this way there is a route to a pageflow container.
Any other layout page must be the default theme.

How to make sure when the default theme is modified the modifications will reflect in the custom pagelayout. For example when the menu is restyled to the left that it will automaticly be left in this layout as well.

Layout is a shape yes.

As for your question, I'm a little confused. Could you reformulate and make your example a little more precise?

I don't know enough about shapes yet, even after reading alot about them.
I just need to know if there are restrictions.

As our pageflow pages must be visible without a "masterpage" as well, depending on the querystring or other config.

What kind of restriction?

Not sure what you mean by "without a masterpage". What is the senario?

I don't know enough about Orchard themes and shapes to formulate my question good enough.
And it's too wide to ask "How flexible shapes are".

I'll continue reading and learning.. practise a bit with themes.
